“I AM A HYPEMAN”

Also known as a mic man and entertainer from Trinidad and Tobago. The first time I touched a stage was seven years ago with Ryan Pankar as his micman. We became “NUPHORIC” which ended last year as I began my solo career as a HYPEMAN.

“I think if I was not the Hypeman or maybe after the Hype evolves, I could maybe see myself becoming a life coach or motivational speaker”

Honestly, I was a very shy and reserved growing up, (which amazes people when I tell them that) when I first performed, I had no idea what to do . I was nervous , scared almost mortified to be in front of so many people . before being an mc, I had never spoken on a microphone like that, getting up on a stage in front of thousands of people still make me nervous,
After struggling to find my place in the dj and entertainment for the first 2 years , I started to travel the world more and more , year after year to hype parties and carnivals . In my first year I did not travel. the second year I went to Tobago and Antigua . then in the 3rd year I had been to 10 destinations and the fourth was 32. It was then I realized that I could do this for a living, sharing my love of music and energy to people all over the world

The moment when you feel the energy…

“That moment when you feel the energy of thousands of hearts, voices in unison celebrating caribbean music” — The Hypeman

I love music . It’s such a powerful language . I grew up on reggae and dancehall even though I was born in the country of soca. But Soca music has an energy of its own that can move almost anyone!. When I hear music it resonates in my soul, and I let it translate in my performances I also get an added boost of Hype from the crown, its like an invisible force of energy that moves back and forth between me and the paty goers, it amplifies me . It’s absolutely amazing.

“I love travelling. seeing the world, living out of a suitcase and residing in hotels , meeting new people. but what i love the most about coming back home is sleeping in my own bed . Sometimes a spa day is necessary now and then to rejuvenate myself after jumping up and down like a crazy Hypeman. I must admit I am a huge fan of PlayStation Fifa. lol . I play in my free time when I’m home .”

The Hypeman & The French West Indies

“The French are one of my favourite people in the world”

“They love music even if they don’t understand the English words”

My first experience with the French community was maybe 4 years ago at a Jouvert party. I was amazed when I arrived at the party and so many people were already there waiting to get in . As soon as the gates opened people made their way to the stage and started to dirty each other. the French people love to have a good time. I was amazed to see them partying so hard and they didnt even know what the songs were saying.

Since that first experience I have been privileged to be the MC for Mercury Beach the last 2 years , MC for All Day In festival and Hypeman for Karukera One Love Festival last year.

Ubersoca Cruise — “EPIC”

“I fully endorse Ubersoca Cruise, come party with the Hypeman this year pon d boat”

This was my second time on the Ubersoca Cruise. It was epic to say the least. It’s a unique party experience. Just imagine people all over the world and I mean all over, we had people from China, Japan, and Iran, all united by one thing. Love of Soca. Being on this cruise has definitely deepened my own love of soca. It’s a chance to share this love with these people. getting to see the artistes and djs and fans alike eat together, play together, party together like a soca family.

Sweet TNT

“If you love to party then the best time is to come Trinidad and Tobago is Carnival.”

It is indeed the greatest show on earth or so we like to say. There are so many different things to experience at Carnival from the fetes to the calypso shows, to panorama, to Jouvert. We have food like doubles; roti, bake and shark, black pudding, mango chow and pholourieso if u love food, then your stomach will love my country.

“It’s an easy place to fall in love with so be careful not to fall to hard for sweet TNT”

Caribbean people, before last year I knew little about the French West Indies. I say merci for coming into my world and opening up your arms and hearts to me. We have so many similarities despite our language difference. Every time I travel the world i think of myself as an ambassador for my country and for soca music. Its important to me to bring these two worlds together to exchange music, culture and love.

“Merci” ❤️
