Spreading a message of awareness and self-love through music is definitely a passion and motivates me to continue to write.

REEMAH is a conscious singer from St. Croix, Virgin Islands

Through realizing the systematic destruction of us as a people, naturally, I want to help those who aren’t aware to become conscious to these truths; to begin the journey of freeing themselves from the chains of oppression. The deception is real and at times very subtle. Its roots are deep and radical change is needed. This radical change begins with small shifts in our thinking. I just want to play my part in helping to spread the message.

INFLUENCES

I love so many different types of music and many different artists.

As a little girl I loved Soul and Rhythm and Blues singers like Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, and Celine Dion to name a few. My uncles introduced me to reggae artists like Yellow Man, Pinchers, Sanchez, Burning Spear, Jimmy Cliff, and the list goes on.

The energies that we are exposed to becomes a part of us and is reflected in our creations. My music isn’t an exception.

It is a mix of feelings and emotions that is captured in each song, speaking directly to the hearts of those that listen. My intent was to put out a quality album and to spark an internal fire of self-awareness and militancy — a call to action.

I had an opportunity to share the stage with the legendary Junior Reid. As a youth I listened to his music so everything came full circle. Naturally, I was looking forward to his set. We were able to talk before his performance. Very humble brother.

There are so many talented, conscious youths. I really hope that they get the opportunities to perform on the big stages worldwide and are recognized for their abilities.

The first new single, ‘HIGH POWAZ’, will be out very soon.

My sophomore album is in the works as well.

My music focuses on struggles that we face as a community, as well as highlights the man made institutions such as religion, eduction, and politics, that have been created to keep us slaves to a system.

…music coming from my heart and meditation. I expect that my music will travel worldwide. I also expect the mass raising of the consciousness throughout all of Earth.
