LOS ANGELES — Darone Okolie releases new single “Kedu” an ode to his Nigerian roots. In the single Darone showcases his talents vocally as both a singer and a rapper.
“Hello, how you do?”
The word Kedu originates from the Igbo language meaning, “Hello, how you do?” Within the single, the Caribbean up-tempo vibe sets the tone for his approach to court a young lady in his actions to make her, his.
“African Heritage is something that is oftentimes overlooked in the mainstream eye, so I wanted to do something different and add my flavor to it by rapping and singing. I wanted to create a song that had a chill vibe but with something everyone can relate to and experience and that’s love!”
